Festival Place embraces Christmas with Festive Place rebrand

Basingstoke, United Kingdom, 26 October, 2015 –

Festival Place is changing its name in a bid to spread the Christmas cheer this festive season.
After 13 years of operating under the name Festival Place, the Basingstoke shopping centre will temporarily become ‘Festive’ Place this Christmas.

In addition to the name change, the centre will host a variety of Christmas events, starting on 13th November with the Christmas Light Switch On. This will feature entertainment from the Military Wives Choir and the Jersey Boys’ tribute act ‘Walk Like a Man’ as well as a festive firework display.

Friday 27th November will then see the centre take part in the famous American discount event, Black Friday.  Festive Place will be extending their opening hours from 8am through to 9pm, so that customers have plenty of time to get the best bargains put on by their major retailers.

The Christmas activities will continue on Sunday 6th December, with a Santa Parade marching through the centre from 11.30am to get the whole family into the festive spirit.

Festive Place Centre Director Steve Connolly said: “We are thrilled to be embracing Christmas this year with our festive rebrand.  By changing our name and hosting a range of events and activities, we are hoping to spread the Christmas cheer this festive season.”

Festive Place will also be spreading the love this Christmas with their ‘Share your Christmas love’ fundraiser in aid of the Ark Cancer Charity. For a small charity donation, customers will be given a Christmas tag to personalise with a festive message to a loved one and hang it on the Festival Place Christmas tree.  If the customer takes a photo of the tag and shares this on the Festive Place Facebook, Twitter or Instagram social media page, using #festiveplace and tagging Festive Place.  They will be in with a chance to win a fantastic range of big brand prizes from our retailers.  More festive prizes will be up for grabs with the Festive Place Christmas Legends competition throughout December when the centre will invite customers to share their festive pictures on their Facebook page with a chance to win a £250 Festive Place gift card.

And to make sure the Christmas shopping experience is as easy and stress-free for customers as possible, Festive Place will launch a ‘Festive Services’ pop-up Christmas shop.   Whether a customer

is looking for the best gifts to buy need their gifts wrapped or want help with their shopping bags, Festive Place’s Christmas dedicated staff will be on hand to assist.
