Charities and good causes have the chance to enjoy a cash boost from The Mall Chequers.

The shopping centre has a cash treasure chest of £5,000 which it wants to share out to charities and good causes in the community.

The money is up for grabs and The Mall is urging locals to get involved to nominate their favourite charity for the cash windfall.

The £5,000 will be split between 10 charities and Suzie Brindle, Marketing Manager at The Mall Chequers said she wants to encourage nominations so local charities can start to benefit from the charity donations as soon as possible.

Suzie, who herself recently raised money for Cancer Research and the Milly Moo Right Now Foundation by tackling the grueling Dirty Dash fundraising event, is keen to help other charities too.

Suzie said: “Having raised over £400 by taking part in the Dirty Dash recently I am keen to help ensure the £5,000 charity pot of cash we have available from The Mall Chequers helps all the other good causes locally too.

“It couldn’t be simpler for the charities to have the chance to benefit from the hundreds of pounds we have to donate. To nominate a group, good cause or charity people need to email me at and let me know a bit about the good work they do, why the cash investment would make a difference and how the charity or group could work in partnership with The Mall Chequers. Don’t delay and nominate today!”
