Café Nespresso arrives in Soho

Nespresso, the pioneer in high quality portioned coffee, has today opened its second Café Nespresso in the heart of Soho. The first Café Nespresso opened in Cheapside last year.

The new café, located in Broadwick Street, paves the way for a big second half of 2017 for Nespresso.  In the UK & Ireland, Nespresso currently has 24 boutiques and today has announced it will be opening at least five more boutiques before the end of the year.

Francisco Nogueira, Managing Director of Nespresso UK & Ireland, said: “There is no doubting that UK coffee drinking habits have evolved immensely over the last decade.  We are becoming a nation of coffee connoisseurs and with Nespresso at the forefront of innovation, and as the pioneers of quality portioned coffee, we are seeing more and more UK consumers demanding a consistent, high quality cup of coffee time and time again.

“We are delighted that our second Café Nespresso is opening its doors today and look forward to opening at least a further five retail boutiques between now and the end of the year, with new retail innovation to be incorporated into our offering.”

Nespresso has confirmed it will be opening new boutiques in the following areas in 2017:

  • Liverpool One – Pop Up
  • One New Change, Cheapside, London Boutique
  • Meadowhall Boutique
  • Oxford Boutique
  • Arnotts, Dublin Boutique

Already in 2017, Nespresso has opened new boutiques in Newcastle and Glasgow, and most recently in Reading on Monday 26 June. The retail expansion forms part of the brand’s ambition to ensure every British customer is no more than an hour’s drive away from a boutique.

Francisco Nogueira said: “We’re delighted to be expanding our retail offering further, reaching customers in new parts of the country for the first time. Over the past few years we have seen phenomenal growth across the UK and are thrilled to be receiving requests for more boutiques to open.”

Nespresso has chosen each retail location in response to a growing appetite for premium quality coffee in these areas with locations outside of central London a particular focus for growth.

“As a business, our focus is on creating a memorable, unique customer experience,” continues Francisco. “In our boutiques, we offer a personalised, immersive service that transcends that of the traditional retail store, from the expertise of our staff to a 24/7 customer care service. Our boutiques are geared towards the modern coffee drinker, with tasting bars, Coffee Specialists and the latest in retail technology. Customers can enjoy the full Grand Cru range, learn more about each coffee, and discover their preferred flavours and aromatic profiles.”
