Barratts retail marketing campaigns

Shoe specialist Barratts has recently commissioned design consultant CADA to create a series of retail marketing initiatives, including its recent AW10 campaign.

As the largest retailer in the UK for boots, the first campaign ‘Back to Boots’ has already proven successful in promoting Barratts’s latest winter styles. The campaign will run for nine weeks across all Barratts stores, with in-store POS and store fronts being re-freshed every three weeks with separate campaigns. This will ensure that the Barratts consumer will be continually updated with a range of diverse imagery that showcase a variety of styles, yet maintaining the same key message. CADA has focused on using a confident and emotive tone of voice to appeal to the Barratts customers, with personlised campaigns specifically targeting women and men. Sub visuals have been created within ‘Back to Boots’, including ‘Love my Boots’ aimed at women and ‘RE: Boot’ for men. An art directed photoshoot resulted in an alluring and atmospheric series of scenes shot across Yorkshire, highlighting the brands key styles with a strong focus on product.
