Baroness Karren Brady joins Spring Fair line up
Prominent businesswoman joins impressive line-up of speakers at UK’s largest gift and homewares event.
Baroness Karren Brady CBE is the latest high profile businesswoman to be announced as a keynote speaker at the UK’s largest gift and home trade event, Spring Fair.
Taking place at the Birmingham NEC from 5th – 9th February 2017, Spring Fair was launched in 1950 and attracts 60,000 visitors – all looking to find the latest gifting and homeware products for their stores. Lady Brady joins respected retail expert Mary Portas, Mulberry founder Roger Saul and many other leading speakers at the event.
One of the UK’s most influential and respected business leaders, Lady Brady has a wealth of experience. Currently responsible for running West Ham United Football Club, she also holds high profile roles at Syco Entertainment and Taveta Investments – the owner of Arcadia.
Having received a CBE for her services to business, entrepreneurship and women in business, and excelled in her role as Sir Alan Sugar’s right-hand woman in TV show The Apprentice, Lady Brady is well placed to offer the UK’s independent retailers guidance on building their businesses.
As Brexit looms, the retail industry is braced for a period of changes. The weak pound is making it more expensive to import and online retailing is adding pressure to traditional high street gift shops. Advice that enables independent retailers to set themselves apart from the competition has become priceless.
At Spring Fair on 7th February, Lady Brady will deliver an invaluable speech, offering independent retailers, gift and home buyers advice on how to be successful in the future retail industry. She will highlight the challenges ahead and identify opportunities for growth, leveraging her business expertise.
Nick Davison, Portfolio Director at Spring Fair, added: “The line-up of speakers at this year’s Spring Fair is exceptional. Each year we deliver a programme that enables retailers to develop their businesses, through exclusive insights and trends. Being able to learn from the experiences of both Lady Brady and Mary Portas means this year’s edition simply can’t be missed.”
Lady Brady’s session will run in the Fashion and Accessories Catwalk from 1.55-2.25pm on Tuesday, 7th February 2017. For more information and to register for your free ticket, please visit: www.springfair.com.
