Aldridge Security delivers top notch customer journey online

 

Maginus has helped Aldridge Security, a specialist wholesaler and distributor of security merchandise to record online sales.  Through the implementation of a new Maginus eCommerce platform, Aldridge Security has seen the value of online sales increase by 15.7 per cent year on year as well as a 34.5 per cent increase in the number of orders placed online.

 

Maginus was commissioned by Aldridge Security following some detailed research which found the company needed to improve the customer journey online and translate this into an eCommerce site that would drive service and sales.

Maginus offered a one-stop-shop, delivering an excellent design capability in addition to building and hosting the new site.  Bryn Thomas, eCommerce Manager at Aldridge Security, said, “We gave the designers at Maginus our brand guidelines and assets and they delivered a design that applies industry best practice, a much improved customer journey and delivered it with real flair”.

Improvements to the customer journey include features such as guided navigation, improved search, and control of promotions and merchandising. This means that it’s easier for customers to find the products they’re looking for, to check the customer specific prices and stock availability.  As a result of these improvements, Aldridge Security has seen a significant increase in the number of customers registering to use its site.

Based on the Maginus platform, Aldridge Security is planning new activities that will further enhance the capabilities of the website, as well providing customers with better access to their accounts, including orders, invoices, payments and statements which will put the company ahead of the competition, but more importantly, continue to provide existing customers with a high quality level of service.
